Zero Waste Day Cleanup
Description
International Waste Day is celebrated on March 30 to promote sustainable consumption, production patterns, and improved waste management. In essence, it highlights the need to address pollution and reduce waste. Only 62% of global municipal solid waste is managed in controlled facilities, and annual waste production is expected to nearly double by 2050, making waste management critical. The initiative encourages a shift toward a circular economy, where resources are reused or kept in use, minimizing environmental impact. To help support this initiative, we plan to cleanup Robert Winter Park, and undeveloped Park in St. Louis county, as I have noticed that there is a lot of trash buildup in that park. Everyone who can help is much appreciated. We will be picking up trash and clearing honeysuckle in partnership with St. Louis County Parks. All of the tools will be provided by St. Louis County Parks. See the 2 parking coordinates for where to park.
