New Beer's Eve. Rebel Event!
Description
HAPPY NEW BEER's EVE
This is the anniversary of the last day of Prohibition. The last day before you could have a drink. April 7th marks the first day alcohol became legal again. Also known as New Beer's Day!
On that fateful day alone there 1.5 million gallons of beer were consumed.
But that is not the whole story. Did you know beer the first references to beer date back to 7000 BC?? Beer is the 3rd most consumed beverage in the world. Behind only water and tea. And today there is more 35 billion gallons of beer produced each year. Lets see, 35 billion gallons divided by the world population of 7.8 billion people ... means that a lot of beer, we better get started drinking...
I guess it was only a matter of time til we went to this spot. It seems to be the perfect location. I hear this is a great park. And there is a lovely view of the lake.
We will probably be on the patio. But don't worry it is covered and heated, if needed.
Anyone is welcome to attend! Events are a great way to meet fellow geocachers, learn about geocaching, and get involved in the geocaching community.
Event Caches last at least 30 minutes and are open to anyone. We will post the event for 1 hour, We will probably be there early and stay a bit later if things go as usual. (Bragging rights to whoever gets there first.)
Plan to share stories and photos of any caches you may have found lately. Found a new favorite? Gone on any trips? Anything planned for the future? Need a hint of a pesky puzzle?
There is plenty of parking near the area
