International Happiness day - Rebel Event!

Most countries were only worried about population, debt and GNP. Money, money money, that is what drives the world. In the '70s Bhutan realized there was more to life. They created a GNH - Gross National Happiness index. Policies were put in place to help ensure happiness. One policy helps ensure that some 60 % of the country was protected wilderness.

Bhutan might not be one of the richest or biggest countries. Might not be on the cutting edge technologically or  medically or architecturally. But they are considered to be some of the happiest people in the world. Maybe it is the trees, laid back atmosphere.

In 2011 The UN decided to create International Happiness Day. for everyone in the world to focus on being happy.

Visit a forest or lake. Do something you enjoy. or even just show up for a smiley!

The world is facing the most challenging era of our lives. We are all working to get through this unique time in our history. But it is time to return to some of the normal routine.

Anyone is welcome to attend! Events are a great way to meet fellow geocachers, learn about geocaching, and get involved in the geocaching community.

Event Caches last at least 30 minutes and are open to anyone. We will post the event for 1 hour, We will probably be there early and stay a bit later if things go as usual. (Bragging rights to whoever gets there first.)

Plan to share stories and photos of any caches you may have found lately. Found a new favorite? Gone on any trips? Anything planned for the future? Need a hint of a pesky puzzle?

There is plenty of parking near the area
