The Day the Lights Went Out in Franklin County
On August 21st of 2017… in the very middle part of the day… the sun will be completely obscured for the first time in centuries (according to what I have read). If you're in the area… feel free to join together with some other cachers to enjoy the show of a lifetine!
The first 20 attendees get a free pair of eclipse-viewing glasses!
I will be at the park to hold our spot at 9:30 a.m. or 10:00 a.m.
At 11:30 a.m. we will begin gathering to don our eclipse glasses and prepare for the show. A cooler with some iced beverages will be provided… or bring your own if you'd like. The City of Union will be selling concessions in the park as well.
The event will be "officially" over once the total eclipse is completed… but folks are welcome to hang around until 4:00 p.m. if they would like.
01:15:42 p.m. — Start of TOTAL eclipse
01:17:01 p.m. — End of TOTAL eclipse
03:43:24 p.m. — End of partial eclipse
